The Socialist Party is a socialist party established on May 1, 2017 in Iceland by Gunnar Smári Egilsson, formerly an editor of the newspapers Fréttablaðið and Fréttatíminn.[2] It is not to be confused with the defunct People's Unity Party – Socialist Party.
