Smyths Toys Superstores is an Irish chain provider of children's toys and entertainment products with over 102 stores throughout Ireland and the UK.
History
The company is run by four brothers, and it was founded in Claremorris, County Mayo on December 23, 1986 .[1] It is Ireland's largest toy retailer.[2] The Globe Retail Park in Naas, Ireland was subject to a fire on 27 July 2016 that destroyed of one of the store's stockrooms, causing the store to temporarily close, with operations being moved until repairs could be made.[3][4]
Stores
Smyths operates 120 stores in total: nineteen stores in the Republic of Ireland, five in Northern Ireland and a further ninety-six in England, Scotland and Wales.[5]
