Skalnaté pleso Observatory
Observatórium Skalnaté pleso (Skalnaté Pleso Observatory) is an astronomical and meteorological observatory in Slovakia. It is located at an altitude of 1786 metres on south-eastern slopes of Lomnický štít near Tatranská Lomnica. It has IAU observatory code 056. The observatory is named after a nearby tarn Skalnaté pleso (literally "Rocky Tarn") .
The observatory produced the popular sky atlas Skalnate Pleso Atlas of the Heavens by A. Becvar.
