Simply Justified Productions (also known as 'SJP: Simply Justified' or abbreviated to SJP) is a London based Creative Video Agency for Entrepreneurs & SMEs. Video production projects have involved working with the likes of ChoiceFM, MTV Africa, MTV BASE, Mr & Mrs Runway and PunchbowlBlog.[1]

History

SJP was registered in 2009 by Stefan Johnson who cites that his inspiration stemmed from being mocked by a secondary school teacher when he heedlessly recreated a Kung Fu movie trailer.[2] Taking the deserved chastising as a challenge he filmed the trailer again from scratch, hiring actors and a venue. After successfully passing the class he decided to pursue a career in video production. He went on to study Media Production at Southwark college in Bermondsey, London, leaving with a Distinction and continued his path with a Broadcasting Content & Creation degree at Ravensbourne University. In 2017, Edwin Archy joined the company as Chief Strategic Officer.

Notable Projects

Mr & Mrs Runway [3][4]

Mr and Mrs Runway is an annual modelling competition and the very 1st show took place on the 1st, 8 and 15 August 2010 in the Camden Centre. Featuring weekly online episodes and Behind The Scenes footage, the competition saw 30 wannabe models whittled down by the audience and a panel of judges, to just two lucky winners who were crowned Mr and Mrs Runway. The crowned Mr and Mrs Runway 2010 won 3 modelling contracts with modelling agencies, DK Model Management, Mahogany Models and BMA Model Management. They also won a 4 day trip for two, to Paris and the opportunity to model during London Fashion Week. The video focus was placed more on the entertainment aspect and model's characters as the years went on, similar to the format of America's Next Top Model.[5]

The Urban Round Up [6]

One-off feature involving some of the most opinionated women in the UK Grime (music) industry, discussing who they considered to be the Top 10 Sexiest Males in Grime and Rap. Within a few days the video went on to gain over 70k views and have some of the panelists featured in a diss track from UK artist Jammer.[9]
