Sir Simon Christopher Townsend Robey (born July 1960)[1] is a British investment banker and supporter of cultural organisations.

Education and Career

Simon attended Reed's School in Cobham before moving onto Magdalen College, Oxford as a choral scholar to read English.

Robey was co-chairman of global mergers and acquisition at Morgan Stanley.[2][3] In 2013, Robey founded the boutique investment bank Robey Warshaw with Philip Apostolides and Simon Warshaw.[4]

Cultural work

Robey joined the board of the Royal Opera House on 1 July 2006,[5][6] and is now its Chair.[7][8] In 2016 he also became the Chair of Aldeburgh Music (now known as Snape Maltings). Robey was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours for 2016 "for services to Music".[9]

Personal life

Robey was adopted as a child and grew up in Cambridge. Robey is married with three daughters.[10]
