Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng (born April 15, 1963) is the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kuching in Malaysia.[1] Prior to being appointed, he had been serving as an auxiliary bishop in the same diocese.
Biography
Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng was ordained a priest on July 31, 1988.
On July 9, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Auxiliary Bishop of Kuching and Titular Bishop of Sfasferia. He was consecrated bishop on September 24, 2015 by John Ha Tiong Hock, Archbishop of Kuching. Co-consecrators were Peter Chung Hoan Ting, Archbishop Emeritus of Kuching; and Julius Dusin Gitom, Bishop of Sandakan.[1]
On March 4, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him to succeed Archbishop Ha as the Archbishop of Kuching.[2]
