Sigurd or Sigur (Pronounced the same) is a Scandinavian male name - mainly used in Norway, derived from the Old Norse Sigurðr (from sigr "victory" and varðr "guardian").[1] Another form of this name is Sigvard.[2] Short form of the name is Sjur.
