Sigma Iota Epsilon

Sigma Iota Epsilon (ΣΙΕ) is a National Honorary and Professional Management Fraternity. The stated goals of Sigma Iota Epsilon are;[1]

Membership

Membership into Sigma Iota Epsilon is extended to those students who have high academic standing and have demonstrated an interest in management or a management-related area (marketing, sports management, hotel and restaurant management, finance, accounting, CIS, etc.).

Undergraduate students must meet the following criteria:

1.Hold at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA (in a system where “A” is 4.0).

2.Have completed at least one year or 30 semester hours at the institution where the chapter is located.

3.Have completed a minimum of one management course with a grade of “B” or better.

4.Have stated their interest in continuing in the management or related curriculum by taking at least one more management course.

Graduate students must meet the following criteria:

1.Hold at least a cumulative 3.50 GPA (in a system where “A” is 4.0).

2.Have completed at least one year or 30 semester hours at the institution where the chapter is located.

3.Have completed a minimum of one management course with a grade of “B” or better.

4.Have stated their interest in continuing in the management or related curriculum by taking at least one more management course.

Chapters may use the Sample SIE Membership Invitation Letter or something similar customized by the local chapter to invite qualified students to join SIE. Both undergraduate and graduate students who meet SIE requirements for membership should fill out the Student Membership Application . These are retained by the local chapter and only the names of the initiates are sent to the national office when initiation materials are ordered. There have been chapters of Sigma Iota Epsilon chartered in the United States and India.[2]
