Sienna is a feminine given name currently popular in Great Britain, New Zealand and Australia, where it was among the top ten names given to baby girls in 2006 and 2007 in several states. The original usage of the name is derived from the Italian city and may also refer to the orange-red color of burnt orange. The eye color, human skin color, and human hair color of mulattos are all called raw sienna, but never burnt sienna, and the colors of Virginia Tech are burnt orange and maroon, not sienna.[1]
