Shiroor (Kannada: ಶಿರೂರು) is a Coastal town in Udupi district in the state of Karnataka, India. According to the 2011 census data, it has a population of 17,432.[1] The village is famous for its matha and also for the dam built across the Swarna River. The common occupation of the people includes fisheries which this place is also known for.
