Shewa is a town and Union Council of Swabi District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan.[1] It is located at 34°14'0N 72°21'0E with an altitude of 340 metres (1118 feet).[2] Village Shewa is situated 5 kilometres north of Shewa Adda. Shewa is proper village & union council of Swabi district
Geography
The town is situated at the site of the old Hindu temple of the Hindu god Shiva, hence the name Shewa.[3] It is the site of the Aman-1 camp for internally displaced persons.[4]
