Sheriff of Banff
The Sheriff of Banff was historically the office responsible for enforcing law and order in Banff, Scotland and bringing criminals to justice. It became known as the Sheriff of Banff, Elgin & Nairn in 1854 and the Sheriff of Aberdeen, Kincardine & Banff in 1882.[1]
