History
Sheepshead Bay High School was a large, multi-cultural high school in Brooklyn, New York that closed in 2016.[1] SBHS opened in 1959 and the first graduating class was 1961.
Closure
On March 12, 2013, the New York City Department of Education's Panel For Educational Policy voted to approve plans to phase out Sheepshead Bay High School and introduce four new schools.[2]
