Shashank Vyas (born 30 November 1986 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh) is a popular Indian television actor and model. He is well known for his role of Dr. Jagdish Bhairon Singh in Balika Vadhu and Captain Ravish Ramakant Vashist in Jaana Na Dil Se Door .

Early life

Shashank was born on 30 November 1986 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He graduated and started studying for MBA entrance exams. But later he moved on to pursue his acting career on encouragement of a friend.

Career

Shashank Vyas made his debut with the lead role Jagdish/Jagya in Colors 's serial Balika Vadhu"in July 2010.His performance in the show earned him critical and people's praise and he became one of the most favorite television actors of India. After playing Jagdish in 'Balika Vadhu' for five years, Shashank quit the show in July 2016. His last episode was aired on 8th August 2016 He was replaced by Shakti Anand .Before Balika Vadhu" Shashank appeared in small roles in Sony 'sRishta.com" and Bollywood Hindi film Tees Maar Khan

From September 2016- June 2017, He played the lead role of Captain Ravish Vashisth in Star Plus's show Jaana Na Dil Se Door.The character which also became hit among the masses . Shashank quit Jaana Na Dil Se Doorin May 2017 due creative dissatisfaction . Him leaving the show affected the show badly as its lost majority of viewership and show had to be wrapped up .
