Severino Yunier González (born September 28, 1992) is a Panamanian professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Career

González signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent in April 2011.[1]

Playing for the Reading Fightin Phils in 2013, González had a 2.00 earned run average with 119 strikeouts over 103 23 innings pitched. After the season, he won the Paul Owens Award as the Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Year.[2][3][4]

González made his major league debut on April 28, 2015, against the St. Louis Cardinals.[5][6]

On January 24, 2017, González was traded to the Miami Marlins for cash or a player to be named later.[7]
