Seo Taiji and Boys II is the second studio album by Korean musical trio Seo Taiji and Boys.
Overview
Following the breakout success of their debut album, its followup was highly anticipated. While promoting the second album, Seo Taiji and Boys were banned from appearing on certain television shows because they wore earrings, ripped jeans and had dreadlocks.[1][2]
Seo Taiji recorded a rock version of "Neoege" that was included as a hidden track on his second solo album, 2000's Ultramania.
The version of the album included in Seo Taiji's 15th anniversary box set adds two different versions of "Hayeoga", five tracks from the 1994 live album '93 Last Festival, and one from his 2004 live album Live Tour Zero.
Reception
Seo Taiji and Boys won a Golden Disc Award for "Hayeoga" in 1993.[3]
In April 1996, Billboard reported that the album had sold over 1.6 million copies.[4]
Kyunghyang Shinmun ranked the album number 30 on its 2007 list of the Top 100 Pop Albums.[5]
