Semiaquatic can refer to organisms of a number of types that spend part of their time in the water, or which place part of their body in the water. Examples include:
- Semiaquatic tetrapods
- Amphibious fish
- Aquatic insects with at least one terrestrial life-cycle stage (e.g. adults)
- Other semiaquatic invertebrates (e.g., many crabs, such as Grapsus grapsus)
- Semiaquatic plants (e.g., mangroves and Ipomoea aquatica)
