Schiedam Nieuwland is a metro station in Schiedam in the Netherlands. The station is located on the Schiedam–Hoek van Holland railway. It was opened on 1 June 1975 as a railway station and was operated by the Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

The station is built on the bridge over Nieuwe Damlaan, one of the principal streets in Schiedam, northwest of the center of the city.

The Nederlandse Spoorwegen stopped operating the line, including Schiedam Nieuwland railway station, on 1 April 2017. After reconstruction, the line will be transferred to Rotterdam Metro. The opening of the metro line is expected in September 2017.[1]

Train services

Currently closed for reconstruction, the station has a temporary coach service for Schiedam Nieuwland.
