sc is a free command-line spreadsheet calculator software that runs in Unix operating system and its derivatives. It is also ported for Windows operating system in a binary file format. It can be accessed through Linux terminal, and has a simple interface and keyboard shortcuts resembling the key bindings of Vim editor. It can be used in a similar manner to other spreadsheet programs for financial and budgeting reasons. The program is based on curses interface library, and has a rich manual page describing its options and configuration. It has a rich mathematical formula library and uses the same file format as Xspread, also supporting plugins as external commands. The program was previously known as vc.[1] sc is already present in the default repositories of popular Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora, and Arch Linux.[2]
