Savaal is a Tamil language film starring Kamal Haasan, Jaishankar, Y.G. Mahendra and Lakshmi. The film which was a remake of Hindi film Haath Ki Safai (1976) was released on 3 July 1981 and did well at box office. This plot is adopted from an old Jaishankar movie and in this movie, Kamal hassan had done the role of Jaishankar's and Jaishankar performed Manohar's "Modern Theatres" flick "Iru Vallavargal".
