Sardav Canyon
Sardav or Sardav Canyon (Kurdish: گەڵی سارداڤ, Gelyê Sardav, گەلیێ سارداڤێ)، is a small gorge located in Pendro, Kurdistan.The gorge is over 75 metres (246 ft) deep, over 20 metres (66 ft) wide and over 250 meters long. The stream drops over a 20 m (66 ft) waterfall within the canyon. The canyon had one deep dark cave and few small caves. The canyon gets its name from "Cold Water" Sard and Av in Kurdish.The gorge is home to a small population of Wild Goat and other wildlife, and canyon temperatures always lower than Pendro and attracted a lot of visitors and fans of mountaineering.
