Saratov Tsentralny Airport (Russian: Аэропорт Центральный) (IATA: RTW, ICAO: UWSS) is a federal-status[1] international airport located in Saratov's Kirovsky district. It serves as the homebase for Saratov Airlines, which flies to destinations in Russia and abroad. In 2016, the airport recorded total passenger traffic of 433,385 people.[2]

Currently STA is the city's only international airport. However, Saratov is home to a number of other aviation facilities: Dubki sports aerodrome, Saratov-Sokol military airbase, and Shumeika landing field.[3] Another facility, Saratov South Air Base, was closed in 2010.

Reconstruction

The Airport holding "Аэропорты регионов"(translating from Russian Airports of Regions) is investing to build the new terminal of the airport which began in January 2015.[4]
