Sara Malakul Lane (Thai: ซาร่า มาลากุล เลน; born 1 February 1982) is a Guam-born English-Thai actress and model who has appeared in numerous low-budget, direct-to-video films since 2010, including Sharktopus (2010) and Kickboxer: Vengeance (2016).

Early life

Malakul Lane was born in Guam, to an English father, Alastair Lane, and a Thai mother, Thapthim Malakul na Ayudhaya.[1] Her mother is descended from the Thai King Buddha Loetla Nabhalai (Rama II) She grew up in Asia and now lives in Los Angeles.[2] Malakul Lane finish from Nist International School of Thailand

Career

Malakul Lane started her acting career at the age of 15, transitioning from modelling after she won a role in her first TV series.[3] She acted in various Thai soap operas before moving to America.

Her first role in a Hollywood film was playing Steven Seagal's daughter in the 2003 film Belly of the Beast. She then starred in Sharktopus with Eric Roberts in 2010[4] and alongside Roberts and Peter Stormare in The Wayshower in 2011. Since then she has starred in a number of films for The Asylum direct-to-video production company.

In 2016, she played a Bangkok detective who becomes the love interest of the lead character in Kickboxer: Vengeance, which began production in 2014 and was finally released in September 2016. She is reprising the role in the sequel, Kickboxer: Retaliation, planned for a 2017 release.
