Jamai Raja (International Title: King Of Hearts) is an Indian television drama series, aired on Zee TV, that premiered on August 4th 2014, and ended on March 3rd 2017 after a successful 3-year run.Later in June 2017 It was dubbed in Bengali as [[Jamai Raja (Bengali Tv Series}]][4] It was produced by actor Akshay Kumar and co-produced by Ashvini Yardi and Meenakshi Sagar.[5]

Plot

Season 1

The anecdote of the show depicts incidences in the life of mother and the daughter following the entry of Siddharth Raj Khurana. Where Roshni and Siddharth fall in love with each other, Roshni’s mother averts accepting Siddharth as her Jamai Raja. Roshni believes that rich people are often spoilt and heartless; to clear her conception, Siddharth enters her life as a middle class boy. However, they fall for each other and marry each other, without Roshni knowing the truth. Finally, Sid's truth comes in front of Roshni and she decides to leave him as their relation is based on a lie.After six-month leap, the serial showed Roshni is in Bangkok, where her friend Yash falls in love with her. Siddharth makes Roshni realize that she still loves him however, Roshni reckons that he is using her and asks for divorce. This makes Sid angry and he decides to divorce Roshni however this time Roshni changes her decision. This makes the court realize that their relationship should be given a chance, making them live together under the same roof.Slowly they understand their mistakes and get together. But happiness didn't seem to stay long as Yash returns with revengeful intentions for losing Roshni, getting his marriage done to Samaira - Roshni's cousin and was jealous because everyone loved Siddharth and no one ever noticed him. He created several situations against them (Siddharth and Roshni) and DD too loose her memory regarding Siddharth. Yash totally lost his control and killed DD whose death Roshni holds Siddharth responsible. And thus leading to their separation at end of season 1.

Season 2

The lead couple Siddharth Khurana and Roshni Patel meet again after a leap of two years with a parallel male lead, Neil Sengupta. Roshni is now Ragini, editor of fashion magazine Mauve, owned by Neil. Anya, sister of Neil is in trouble and to save her Siddharth accidentally land up in the family as jamai where he meets Ragini. The story unfolds with various twists and new enemy Payal Walia. The relationship of Siddharth and Roshni came out leaving Neil devastated. Siddharth and Roshni with the help of Ria, Neil's ex-fiancee mends up all. Roshni gave birth to Karanvir and Ria is pregnant with Mahi. They decided to go to London and on their way to the airport they met with a fatal road accident with their son and a maid. Roshni died asking Gangu Tai to deliver Karanvir to her in laws. Siddharth also died on spot.

Season 3

After 20 years, Siddharth and Roshni's son Karanvir is grown up.The maid Gangu Tai's real son Satya died in the accident along with Roshni and Siddharth. So she took Karanvir and raised him as her own son and named him Satya after her dead son. Neil and Ria's daughter is also has grown up, whose name is Mahi Neil Sengupta. She loves Payal very much as Payal had look after her but Payal does not love Mahi; instead only loves her wealth. Mahi meets Karanvir but Mahi and Karanvir hate each other as Mahi tries to warn Koyal Walia, Payal's real daughter, to stay away from Karanvir because Karanvir has set a bet to his friend, Deepu that he will make Koyal her girlfriend within the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi. For this Karanvir has lied that he is rich but Mahi suspect that he is not and try to bring his truth but fails as Koyal believe Karanvir. On Ganesh Chaturthi festival, however, Mahi brings Karanvir's truth and Koyal lashes at him and burned an expensive dress which Karanvir has bought though the dress was really expensive.He bought the dress with the money he has bought the dress was for the chawl's development. After this Koyal insults him and his mom Gangu tai. Karanvir vows to bring Payal's truth in front of koyal that Payal is a cheat. In doing so, Karanvir and Mahi fall in love but Mahi did not know about her feeling;Also Karanvir but Naina(,Mahi's grandmother) makes him realise his feeling, but when Karanvir decides to tell his feeling to Mahi he found out that Mahi is going to get married to Dhawal whom Payal chooses because Payal need a son-in-law who will listen to her and do what she wants and Dhawal is the guy who will help Payal get the property of Mahi in her name. Karanvir vow to marries Mahi as he loves her. He tricks Payal into make her believe him and marries Mahi sitting in the place of Dhawal in the last moment. More misunderstandings start creating between Karanvir and Mahi but soon Mahi realises Karanvir's true love for her, she falls in love with him too while Karanvir finds out about his real identity. In the end, Mahi gives birth to twins.[6][7]

Jamai Raja is Dubbed in English in South Africa as King of Hearts and Is aired On Zee World(Zee Africa). Also dubbed in other languages in the sub-Saharan African Countries and aired on their national Zee World network taking over after East meets West (Saath Pare / Saath Saath).

In Mauritius, as from August 2015, Jamai Raja is aired on mbc digital 1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30 p.m

In Indonesia, the series is dubbed in Indonesian and aired from July 24, 2017, everyday at 10 a.m. WIB on ANTV.
