Saniyya Sidney is an American actress. She is most known for her roles in the series American Horror Story: Roanoke (2016), and the films Fences (2016) and Hidden Figures (2016).

Career

Sidney began acting in 2012, appearing in the short film The Babysitters. She next appeared in Roots,[1] and appeared in American Horror Story: Roanoke as the reenactment of Flora Harris.[2] Sidney next appeared in Fences, the film with four 2017 Oscar nominations, including one win,[3] directed by Denzel Washington, opposite Washington and Viola Davis,[4] and Hidden Figures, the film which received three 2017 Oscar nominations, directed by Theodore Melfi, both of which were released in December 2016.[5][6]

Sidney will next star in Fast Color directed by Julia Hart, opposite Lorraine Toussaint and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.[7]
