Sandra Uwiringiyimana
Sandra Uwiringiyimana is an American author.[1][2][3] She is originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.[1]
She came to America as a refugee with her family, and started middle school in New York.[4][5] She has shared the stage alongside Charlie Rose, Angelina Jolie, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and Tina Brown at the Women in the World Summit. She also addressed the United Nations Security Council. She is a graduate of Mercy College.[6]
