Samik Roy Choudhury (Bengali: শমিক রায় চৌধুরী) is an Indian Bengali filmmaker. 

Choudhury was born in the city of Calcutta into a Bengali lower middle class family. Starting his career as a visual effects artist, he was drawn into independent filmmaking after making several short films that were awarded internationally. His first feature film D Major (2016) was written, directed and produced by him.[1] He worked on Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (2011) as a visual effects technical director. Choudhury also directed the music video Daniken,[2] which featured the singer Rupam Islam.
