Samuel Alexander Garrett (born August 28, 1990) is an English singer and songwriter. Sam Garrett released his debut EP Be Easy in 2013 followed by the second EP Namaste released in 2014. In 2016, Garrett released his two-parts acoustic EP titled Grace. Sam Garrett has been creating and singing devotional songs.
Early life and musical carrerr
Sam Garrett grew up around music, as his father would play records from bands such as Nirvana and Perl Jam. At the age of 9, Garrett started to learn how to play guitar and after that arranging some compositions. After a long period of learning the instrument, Garrett started to play in some locals friend's rock bands.Garrett, at the age of 20, left those bands and started to write his own songs in solitude at the countrysides of England. In this period,
Garrett started to showcase around the country and won UK's festival "Live and Unsigned" at the "Acoustic" category.[1][2] On August 11, 2012, Garrett perfomed his songs "Hope" and "Be Easy" at on The Beat at BBC radio 1.[3]
On 2013, those songs featured Sam Garrett debut EP called "Be Easy" produced by Jake Gosling and the UK rapper Sway.[4]
On 2014, Garrett self-released his second EP titled "Namaste" after moving to a yoga retreat, Ashram in Glastonbury on earlier June 2013.[5] On 28 April 2015, Sam was featured to play on the Mind Body Spirit London Festival.[6] Later in 2016, Sam Garrett signed with Dcypha Productions[7] to release his acoustic EP "Grace", as he attest to be dedicated to the spiritual master Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharishi and Sri Mooji.[5] At the same year, Garrett played at the Hebridean Celtic Festival [8]
2017—present: New album
Sam Garrett started to record his upcoming album after releasing his acoust EP. The album production was finished on August. According to him on a social media post, the album will feature a 2010's song never released as official, called "Butterfly".[9][10] No date was published yet for his upcoming album release.
