Salahuddin Tirmizi (Urdu: صلاح الدین ترمذی) is a Pakistani politician who is the current Minister for Narcotics Control, in office since August 2017. He has been a member of Senate of Pakistan, affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League (N).[1] He is a retired lieutenant-general of the Pakistan Army.[2]

Political career

He served as a corps commander.[3]

He was the president of the National Defence University.[3]

Following the election of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as Prime Minister of Pakistan in August 2017, he was inducted into the federal cabinet of Abbasi.[4][5] He was appointed as the Federal Minister of Narcotics Control.[6]
