Sakunami Station (作並駅, Sakunami-eki) is a railway station in the city of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Sakunami Station is served by the Senzan Line, and is located 28.7 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Sendai Station.

History

Sakunami Station opened on August 30, 1931. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987. A new station building was completed in March 2008.
