Saeed Ahmed Khan Manais (Urdu: سعید احمد خان منیس; born 1 January 1951) is a Pakistani politician who is currently a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League (N).

Early life

He was born on 1 January 1951.[1]

Political career

Manais has been the president of Pakistan Muslim League (Jinnah) and briefly served as speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab[2] for a period of six month.[3]

He served as Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab after Pakistani general election, 1997.[4]

In 2007, it was reported that a PML-N member alleged Manais holds a fake BBA degree.[5]

Manais ran for the seat of National Assembly in Pakistani general election, 2008 from NA-170 (Vehari) independently but remained unsuccessful.[6][7]

He was elected as the member of the National Assembly on a ticket of Pakistan Muslim League (N) from NA-170 (Vehari) in Pakistani general election, 2013.[8][9][10][11]
