Sadie Kaye (2012)

Sadie Kaye is a Hong Kong TV & radio presenter, filmmaker, writer and actress. She is best known as a presenter on Radio Television Hong Kong.[1]

Career

After attending Murray Edwards College, Cambridge,[2] Kaye presented children's television series Beezwacks on TVB in Hong Kong [3] and Eat Your Words on ITV in the UK.[4] She created [5] and presented [6] an interactive comedy series, Dinner Party.[7] She appeared in Channel 4's The New Entrepreneurs.[8][9] She judged Channel 4's competition Comedy Circuit.[10] She appeared as an actress in various sketch shows, including Sack the Writer.[11]

She was a partner in company Blue Reef in 2006.[12] She produced and presented 3 Minute Wonders for Channel 4 about the 2009 Centre for Social Justice Awards.[13] She produced and presented documentary films Sailing Miss Sadie (2010) [14][15][16] and Tucker's Luck (2011) [17][18][19] for Sky. She appeared as an actress in films West of Thunder (2012) [20][21][22][23] and FLIM the Movie (2014).[24] She played Miss Adventure in a pilot episode shown on Funny or Die.[25][26]

Since 2015 she has presented regular comedy sections as Miss Adventure for Radio Television Hong Kong.[27][28][29] She's discussed her bipolar disorder as a guest on RTHK's 123 Show.[30][31] She produced and presented documentary The Bipolar Express (2015) for RTHK.[32][33] This was Highly Commended in the Radio Creative Feature category by the Association for International Broadcasting at the 2015 AIB Media Excellence Awards.[34][35][36]

Her children's book The Wishing Machine was published October 31, 2014.[37][38][39]

Charity

She has mentored young people from The Prince's Trust.[40][41][42] She is an ambassador for a Hong Kong children's charity.[43] In 2015 she set up a Hong Kong bipolar support network.[44][45]

Personal life

A British national, she was born in Hong Kong and raised in Sai Kung.[46][47] She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2011.[48]
