The year 2014 was the 4th year in the history of the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship (SUPERKOMBAT), a kickboxing promotion based in Romania. 2014 started with SUPERKOMBAT New Heroes 7 and ended with SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix 2014 Final. The events have been broadcasts through television agreements with Eurosport, Fight Now TV in the United States and other regional channels.[1][2]

Background
The concept of the event was Romania vs. Rest of the world and the fight card saw 8 fights. The main event was the SUPERKOMBAT New Heroes middleweight title bout between title holder Amansio Paraschiv and Cedric Manhoef. Jorge Loren and Bogdan Stoica met in the co-main event.[4]

Background
Andrei Stoica was defending his SUPERKOMBAT Super cruiserweight Championship against Ali Cenik, though originally Horace Martin was supposed to challenge Stoica for the title.[9]

SUPERKOMBAT New Heroes 7 was a kickboxing event held by the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship on August 2, 2014 at the Sala Sporturilor in Constanța, Romania.[11]
Background
Headlining the show was SK mainstay Cătălin Moroșanu who fought Greek fighter Giannis Stoforidis. Also on the card was "Son of Dracula" Sebastian Ciobanu as he faced Nikolaj Falin in an interesting fight.[11]

SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV 2014 was a kickboxing event held by the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship on September 27, 2014 at the Topsportcentrum in Almere, Netherlands.[13]
Background
This was the first major international kickboxing event in the Netherlands since It's Showtime closed the doors. SUPERKOMBAT brought the sport back to one of its homes.[13]
Headlining the card was promotion star Cătălin Moroșanu who faced an experienced Dutch opponent, Brian Douwes (that took Ismael Londt's place who pulled out of the event due to undisclosed reasons).[13]
Suriname's Redouan Cairo, the finalist of the 2013 World Grand Prix season, faced the former SUPERKOMBAT contender for the super cruiserweight title, Ali Cenik of Belgium. Both fighters were based in the Netherlands and wanted the top spot in the season.[13]
Reigning SUPERKOMBAT New Heroes Light Heavyweight Champion, Clyde Brunswijk left the division and tried his hand as a cruiserweight.[13]
Other highlights of the card included of course the one night, 4-man heavyweight tournament.[13]

SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix 2014 Final Elimination was a kickboxing event held by the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship on October 25, 2014 at the SEG Geneva Arena in Geneva, Switzerland.[16]
Background
It included the quarter-finals of the light heavyweight tournament as well as the super cruiserweight title fight between Moisés Baute and Andrei Stoica. The winners of the quarter-final match-ups earned their place in the finals on November 22 in Monza, Italy for a one-night, four-man tournament to decide the champion.[16]

SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix 2014 Final was a kickboxing event held by the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship on November 22, 2014 at the PalaIper in Monza, Italy.[19]
Background
The promotion presented the finals of the SUPERKOMBAT Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix, and the winner walked away as the champion of the season and bragged rights. Jorge Loren, Dawid Kasperski, Michael Terril and Aristote Quitusisa competed for the honours.[19]
There were also some superfights on the show, including names familiar to SK fans like Andrei Stoica, Bogdan Stoica and Amansio Paraschiv. There was also a Middleweight title fight between the WKA champion Julian Imeri and Nader Farhou.[19]
