Marthammanahalli Satish Kumar Akash (born on 13/03/1997 to a Sankethi family) is a Hindustani Classical flautist of India.[1] To contact : 8105051298, 9740946238
Early life
Akash, son of Sri M N Satish Kumar and Smt Vani Satish, started showing interest in music at the age of three and half years. He hails from a family of musicians and music lovers. At the age of four, he was put under the tutelage of Pandit Venkatesh Godhkindi, a renowned flautist. At that early age, though not able to follow music notations in writing, he was able to grasp subtle intricacies of music.
He is a student of 12th standard studying in Bangalore. Presently, he is under the tutelage of Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi and Pandit Ronu Majumdar.
Career
Akash was the winner of the Idea Jalsa National Talent Hunt Winner. He has been performing solo since 2005. He performed at Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh Hyderabad.

- He received Bharat Ratna Dr.M S Subbulakshmi Scholarship at Sri Shanmukha Nanda Sabha on September 16, 2015 from the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sri Devendra Fadnavis.
- He received the very prestigious Sur Jyostna National Award at Nagpur on 22 March 2016 from the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sri Devendra Fadnavis. Which was organized by the Lokmat.
- He third time received the Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S Subbulakshmi Fellowship at Sri Shanmukha Nanda Sabah on September 16, 2016 from the Hon'ble Governor of Andra Pradesh and Telangana Shri. E.S.L Narasimhan.
