Ruthy Tu (Chinese: 杜光照; ?-1969, also known as Tu Guan-chiao or Rosie Du)[1] was a British-trained Chinese aviator who was one of the most prominent Chinese fliers in the 1930s.[2] In 1932, she was widely reported as the first woman licensed pilot in China[3][4] or accepted in the Chinese Army.[5][6][7]

Tu later moved to Taiwan and became the first woman in that country to join the Bahá'í Faith in 1952, along with two men.[8] She was active in the Bahá'í Assembly in Taiwan until her death in 1969.[9]
