Rukhsana Sultana

Rukshana Sultana is an Indian socialite known for being one of Sanjay Gandhi's close associates during the state of Emergency in India between 1975 and 1977.[1][2][3] During this period she gained a lot of notoriety in leading Sanjay Gandhi's sterilization campaign in Muslim areas of old Delhi,[4][5],.,.[6][7] Ruksanaa is connected to a number of well known people from films, and media in India through birth and marriage.Her daughter is Amrita Singh, a leading Bollywood actress of 1980s.[8]
