Rubana Huq is a Bangladeshi businesswoman[1] and the wife of current mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Annisul Huq. She was featured in BBC 100 Women in 2013 and 2014.[2] She is managing director of Mohammadi Group.[3] She was also CEO of TV Southasia from 2006 to 2010.[4]
She is also a poet and a winner of the SAARC Literary Award in 2006.[4] She wrote a book of poems Time of My Life. She is also a member of board of trustees in Asian University for Women.[5] Huq is currently(2016) a PhD student at Jadavpur University.[6]
Personal life
Huq is married to Annisul Huq. Together they have three children.
