Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) was founded in 1840, when a group of Melbourne's leading citizens formed the Agricultural Society of Victoria with the aim of "furthering the quality of Australia's primary production by means of contests and competitions".[1][2][3][4]

RASV promotes the development of and celebrates agriculture through agricultural events and world-class food and drinks awards programs which connect industry with consumers and aim to improve the quality and increase demand for Victorian produce.

RASV's flagship event, the Royal Melbourne Show is Victoria's largest and most iconic annual community events, attracting around 450,000 people each year.
