Route 181 is a highway in southern Missouri. Its northern terminus is at Business U.S. Route 60 in Cabool, Texas County.[1] It passes through eastern Douglas County and reaches its southern terminus at U.S. Route 160 in Gainesville in Ozark County.[2]

Just south of Cabool, Route 181 forms an overpass interchange with Route 60 and four miles farther south enters the northeastern corner of Douglas County.[1] In northeast Douglas County the route turns east and forms a 3.5 miles (5.6 km) concurrency with Route 76 before again turning south just one half mile from the Howell County line.[2]

The road intersects with Route 14 between the twin bridges. The two bridges on Route 14 are separated by an 880-foot-wide (270 m) low point in a north–south trending ridge between the North Fork River and its tributary Spring Creek to the east.[3] Route 181 immediately crosses the North Fork River and runs concurrently with Route 14 westward for 4.8-mile (7.7 km), then heads back south toward Dora in Ozark County. About three miles (5 km) south of Dora at the Cross Roads community, Route 181 heads west again past the Hodgson and Zanoni mills and continues southwest to meet US 160 just east of Gainesville.[2]
