Rosario Tijeras is a Spanish-language telenovela produced by Teleset for Sony Pictures Television and TV Azteca.[2] It is an adaptation of the Colombian history Rosario Tijeras of Jorge Franco, whose most recent version -Rosario Tijeras- starred María Fernanda Yépez.[3] It stars Bárbara de Regil as the titular character.[4][5]

TV Azteca announced a second season to be released in 2018.[6] Filming will begin during the second half of 2017 and will have 60 episodes.[7][8]

In the United States the first season began airing on Univision but will move to UniMás.[9][10]

Synopsis

The series tells the story of a warrior from one of the poorest and most dangerous neighborhoods in Mexico City. Its beauty and nobility contrast with the gray and desolate environment where it grew. She is feared by her enemies and adored by her friends.
