Rory Currie (born 20 February 1998) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a striker for Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian.

Career

Currie began his football career with Celtic's youth teams before leaving to join the Rangers Academy in January 2016 on a contract until the end of the 2015–16 season.[1]

Currie was released by Rangers in May 2016[2] but joined Heart of Midlothian.[3] He made his professional debut for Heart of Midlothian as a 75th-minute substitute during a 3–0 home win against Motherwell on 28 November 2016.[4] He followed this a month later with his second league appearance against Aberdeen on 30 December.[5]

In January 2017, he was named as one of the Daily Record's Scottish footballing prospects for 2017 alongside Liam Burt and Jack Aitchison.[6]
