The Rohingya National Army (abbreviated RNA) was a Rohingya insurgent group active in northern Rakhine State, Myanmar (Burma). It was headquartered in southern Bangladesh.[1]

History

On 28 October 1998, the Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO) and the Arakan Rohingya Islamic Front (ARIF) merged and formed the Arakan Rohingya National Organisation (ARNO), operating in-exile in Cox's Bazaar district in Bangladesh.[1] The Rohingya National Army was established as its armed wing.

The group was mainly active in the early 2000s; their last reported attack was in May 2001.[2]
