Robert G. Flanders Jr. (born July 9, 1949, Long Island, New York) is an American attorney who served as an Associate Justice on the Rhode Island Supreme Court from 1996 to 2004.

Education

Raised in Nassau County, New York,[1] Flanders earned his bachelor's degree at Brown University in 1971 and his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1974.[2] At Harvard Law School, he was an editor of the Harvard Law Record.

Other career milestones

He served as Chairman of the Rhode Island Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education from 2008-11. In 2011, he was appointed by Governor Lincoln Chafee as receiver for Central Falls, Rhode Island.[3]
