Rimsting is a municipality in the district of Rosenheim in Bavaria in Germany.
The mother of Pope Benedict XVI was the daughter of artisans from Rimsting who lived on the shore of Lake Chiem; before her marriage she worked as a cook in a number of hotels.[2]
