Richie James Follin is an American musician, guitarist, keyboard player, singer songwriter who has been in a number of bands.
In 2002, Follin formed The Willowz, a garage rock band based in Anaheim, California. The band's sound incorporated influences from punk, soul, and blues from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
In 2010, Richie Follin toured USA and Europe with The Willowz, with the supporting band being Cults that includes his sister Madeline Follin.[1] He also began writing and recording with Cults, ending up singing vocals on some of their recordings.
Immediately after the tour, in 2010, he became part of Guards, an American three piece Indie rock band based in New York City that also includes Loren Humphrey (a bandmate in The Willowz) and Kaylie Church. They released their debut album, In Guards We Trust, in February 2013.
Since 2013, he has been part of the American rock band CRX formed in Los Angeles in 2013, where he plays guitar, keyboards and is backing vocalist. The other members are Nick Valensi (lead vocals, guitar), Ralph Alexander (drums), Jon Safley (bass) and Darian Zahedi (guitar, backing vocals).[2] The band released their debut album, New Skin, on October 28, 2016.[3]
In 2016, Follin and his sister Madeline Follin from Cults formed a new musical project called Follin.[4]
