Brigadier-General Richard Cunningham (died 1696) was an English Army officer.
Military career
Cunningham became major of the Earl of Selkirk's regiment of horse in December 1688.[1] He went on to be colonel of a foot regiment formed from the standing forces in Scotland in 1689[2] and colonel of the Queen's Own Regiment of Dragoons in December 1690.[1] Promoted to brigadier-general on 1 June 1696, he commanded a cavalry brigade in Holland during the Nine Years' War.[1] He left £2,500 when he died in 1696.[3]
In 1695 he married Grisel, daughter of Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington.[4]
