Ricardo Blázquez Pérez (born 13 April 1942) is a Spanish prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He has served as Archbishop of Valladolid since 2010.

Biography

On 4 January 2015, Pope Francis announced that he would make him a cardinal on 14 February.^[1] At that ceremony, he was assigned the titular church of Santa Maria in Vallicella.^[2]

In April 2015 he was appointed by Pope Francis to serve as a Member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and of the Pontifical Council for Culture.

On 8 January 2016, he was appointed by Pope Francis to also serve as a Member of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See.^[3]^[4]

He was appointed a member of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in October 2016.
