Rhinophis roshanpererai is a species of snake in the Uropeltidae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.[1] The species first described from three specimens taken from Badulla District.[2] The species lack pale stripes and possess 3 to 4 prominent spines with a small shield-tail.[3][4]

Etymolohy

The specific name roshanpererai was named in honor of deceased Roshan Perera, who was a reptile instructor at Young Zoologist’s Association of Sri Lanka, Department of National Zoological Gardens.[5]
