Restless Books is an independent, non-profit publisher located in Brooklyn, New York.[2] Restless publishes "international works of fiction, journalism, memoirs, travel writing, and illustrated books."[2] The press published 15-20 titles a year,[2] including authors including Ruth Ozeki, Oddný Eir, Jimmy Santiago Baca, Marek Huberath, Paco Ignacio Taibo II, Chris Abani, Tal Nitzán and Andrés Neuman.[3] In addition to publishing Restless offers the annual $10,000 Prize for New Immigrant Writing, which additionally comes with a publication deal.[4]
History
Restless Books was founded in 2013 by Ilan Stavans and Joshua Ellison as an international press, focused on Latin American and Jewish writing, in the e-book form.[2]
