The Skilball Trophy was a rugby union trophy contested in 1990 by a Four Home Unions team against a Rest of Europe team, in a match to raise money for the rebuilding of Romania following the overthrow of Nicolae Ceaușescu in December 1989.[1]
The Four Home Unions team's logo was that used by the British Lions, i.e. the crests of the four home unions united in a shield. The Rest of Europe played under the symbol of the Federația Română de Rugby. The match was played at Twickenham, and the Four Home Unions won the match 43–18 with England captain Will Carling scoring two tries.
